Everything moves in cycles:  the sun, moon, and stars, the tides, seasons, and weather.  Even sub-atomic particles travel in orbits, and DNA strands form spirals.  As part of this greater cosmos, our lives, and our healing, move in cycles in the same way.  Along the way, you can and will experience some amazing breakthroughs, but it is simply unrealistic to expect an experience of feeling better and better and better.

You WILL be getting better, but as the top layers are cleared, the way will be opened up for other layers, and core issues will eventually surface.   Don’t be discouraged, simply continue with the healing.  Trust that it is your process.  What comes up for you next, whatever emotion or discomfort or pain that may be, be aware of it, as that is your next step.  Pay attention to it, and use the tools available to you.

"healing tends to follow a pattern that spirals and re-cycles over and over again"

Cycles

It is important to realize that healing is an ongoing process that happens in increments over time.   Healing is a form of growing, and just as you may not notice a child growing day by day, over time some dramatic changes become apparent...

I find Usaf Omar's Pendulum Photography site interesting, particularly the analogy about the apparent "chaotic" movement that over time reveals itself to be an intricate, precise pattern.  As well, the gallery of images seem appropriate to the topic of cyclical motion.  The pendulum motion thus recorded indicates to us that this kind of spiralling and re-cycling is in fact the result of swinging back and forth between opposites, until ultimately, perfect balance is attained.
