Trauma, in some form, is the source of all energy toxins. This happens at the subconscious level. When a traumatic event occurs, every energy that is being perceived by your body (all "six" senses) in that exact moment, becomes permanently associated with that trauma. The body (your subconscious) cannot distinguish between which of those energies contributed to the trauma (ie, the fear emotion) and which energies are harmless (ie, the peach you may have been eating at the time), and so develops a method of "protecting" against all of them. This trauma-base explains why there would be a "toxic" response in you to something that is perfectly tolerable and beneficial to others. This also explains why two people for whom the same substance is an energy toxin, may experience completely different symptoms. In some cases, substances will only test as toxins when associated with one (or several) other energies involved in the original trauma.
(Note that energy toxins can also be inherited from past generations, through cellular memories encoded in your DNA. In this way, you can have a reaction to an energy toxin without having had the actual experience of the original trauma.)
In order to clear your body's reaction to an energy toxin, you have to clear the trauma field that is associated with it. Once all of the mental and emotional aspects of the trauma have been dissipated, that substance will cease to have a aberrant affect on your system. However, due to the nature of toxins, issues that have been previously treated may return with re-exposure to the toxin (or to the combined exposure of the toxin with another energy from the original trauma.) If you do re-experience a toxic reaction, it is a sign that an aspect of the trauma was missed during the original treatment (but can now be addressed.)
A concept that is presented in Dr. Doris Rapp's book Allergies and Your Family to explain a body's reaction to allergens, also applies to the effects of energy toxins:
In some cases, it is not necessary to identify all of the substances that act as energy toxins to you. As you proceed with healing work, and clear the appropriate mental and emotional blocks, toxin reactions will clear on their own. As well, the more healing work you do, the greater your capacity to deal with toxins. (Or, if you like, the emptier your barrel becomes.)
However, if you are experiencing symptoms that lead you to believe your "barrel" is always full, it would be extremely beneficial to identify and avoid substances that act as energy toxins to your body. This will ease problematic symptoms, and allow for that energy to be directed elsewhere (ie, the proper functioning and healing of bodily systems.) Use Self-Testing or Elimination and Re-Introduction techniques to determine what substances are toxins, beginning with those that you consume or use most often. Be sure to investigate body care products and laundry soaps/fabric softeners as well as foods. Please read more about:
(Note that with persistent, accurately applied EFT healing practices,
permanent elimination of all toxin substances will not be required.)
An energy toxin is defined as anything (any energy) that disrupts a person's energy field, thereby adversely affecting normal bodily functions.
Energy toxins include allergens but not all energy toxins will cause a histamine reaction that we generally associate with allergies. Toxin reactions may manifest in any variety of ways, and may include symptoms from fatigue, to food sensitivities, to changes in mood, etc. Some (but not all) energy toxins may cause Polarity Reversal.
"I realized for the first time in my life that despite my lifelong battle with dairy [and other foods] my body does not have a problem with food, it's the subconscious beliefs that cause the reaction, not the substance itself."
“In many cases, with proper treatment, an energy toxin can become a neutral substance to the body.”
A “barrel” is used to represent the toxin content of the body. If or when the barrel fills to the top and begins to overflow, symptoms and illness will develop (your body's natural ability to deal with the toxins is overloaded.) Different contributors can affect the capacity of the barrel, which will be greatly decreased by stressors or other toxins. When this happens, you can become more sensitive to a substance that previously did not cause a problem. Sometimes it is a factor of too-frequent exposure to the toxin. With appropriate time periods between consumption, the body can adequately reduce the content level of the barrel, and hence your sensitivity to the substance.
"Remember how your body felt when you were a small child: loose, supple, free, full of vitality. As you get older, life's difficulties and traumas - and your responses to them - can add tension upon tension, resulting in stiffness, stress, sickness and fatigue." Paul Tucker
