When self-healing seems to be slowed, hindered, or not occuring at all, it is the result of some form of energy block (or tension/restriction if you like) the root cause of which could be physical, emotional, mental or spiritual. The key to wellness lies in removing those blocks.
Constant Renewal
Our physical bodies are constantly in the
process of regeneration.
As you proceed with the healing process of releasing blocks and restrictions, you will literally renew yourself one cell at a time, under continually improving conditions.
Think about the possibilities
associated with this! Any small
changes you make now (and
maintain) can mean real and
actual changes in your body
for tomorrow, next month, and
next year. What level of health
and vitality will you aspire to???
"In fact, parts of our body are literally replaced every day. Other parts take a few months, other parts a couple of years. But within a few years, we have a brand new physical body." Dr. John Hagelin

The Principle of Self-Healing
Wholeness or "health" is our natural state of being. We are created with all of the tools needed to heal ourselves: blood will clot, bones will mend, and white blood cells fight invading viruses. Healing occurs without conscious effort, as does every breath and heartbeat. This natural "knowing" that we are all born with is often referred to as the innate intelligence, "inner wisdom" or the "inner physician" through which self-healing takes place.
Symptomology and Health
The physical body plays a central
role in health. In our society, we
tend to gauge how healthy we are
based on what's going on in our
body. If we have physical pain or
discomfort, we consider ourselves
to be unwell:
First, it's important to understand that many of our uncomfortable or painful physical symptoms are not "bad" though they may not feel good. In some instances, it may not be for our greater good to get rid of them: when the body expells poisons through vomitting, or when the body is using fever to combat a virus. It requires a change in mindset between what is sick and what is healthy. Often, 'symptoms' can be the way in which your "inner physician" is carrying out healing, meaning that they are in fact natural, healthy responses. When you realize that your body is not fighting against you, you need not fight against it.
Second, understand your body on a conceptual level as well. You are not your body. The body is actually a physical expression of what you truly are. In a very real way, the body is an expression of what's really going on inside you. What you 'feel' physically is directly related to how you are 'feeling' emotionally or mentally. You might sometimes think "why is my body doing this to me?" when it would be more appropriate and beneficial to ask "what is my body saying to me, or for me, that I haven't been able to express in another way?" The body seems to be the "source" of your pain, but really it is showing you what you need to pay attention to. Take the time to bring yourself into your body and really listen to what's going on. Being more aware of your physical body has the effect of bringing your awareness to internal conflicts (tension or resistance) that you didn't know you had... or have been denying in some way. Becoming intimate with your own body is a way of becoming more intimate with yourself! The more attentive you can be, the less "loudly" your body will speak...
